I gave the wee little one an Olympus Infinity Stylus for his birthday, along with several rolls of HP5+, since there is a Tri X Shortage in my fridge. After I processed the roll, we looked at the negatives with a loupe against the lights and also the scans, with the negatives much more interesting than the scans. He absolutely loved all of the shots he took. It does not have anything to do with the technical mumbo jumbo, nor worried about how they looked to others. The subjects in the photos are the things he adores, and he photographed them, simple as that.

Just like the great Garry Winogrand once said:
“I photograph to find out what something will look like photographed”
It Made Perfect Sense.
Now it’s time to give him a rangefinder and drop him off in NYC
Why, he is very happy with flashing people with the flash, you know where I am going with this, hahahaha.
Everything about this is totally awesome. Hat’s off!
Take him to NYC with a Speed Graphic! The next Weegee!
Oh I let him used my baby crown graphic before. He can’t quite hand hold while firing at same time yet. 😀 weegee is awesome!
Awesome! My 4 year old son is addicted to photography as well. Such a great hobby for kids!
That’s great to hear!
Bravo! I love to see the world of a child through his photographs. And it is not just a different POV.
Thanks! It is very interesting.
It’s nice to know children’s world right through his own eyes.
It reminds me to keep it simple!
